Privacy Policy

Privacy policy for the Shift4You application.

1. Introduction

This privacy policy describes the data collection, use and protection practices of Shift4You (“App”), developed by Ömer Elmas (“Developer”). By using the App, you agree to this policy.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Local Data

Shift patterns, edits, notes and annual leave records are stored locally on your device (Core Data). This data is not collected by the Developer or transmitted to any servers.

2.2 iCloud Data

When iCloud sync is enabled, shift data is stored in your own iCloud account via Apple CloudKit. This data is only synced between your own devices; the Developer cannot access it.

2.3 Advertising Data

The App displays ads through the Google AdMob SDK. AdMob may collect the following data to serve personalized ads:

  • Device identifiers (IDFA / Advertising ID)
  • Ad data (ad interaction information)

This data is used solely for advertising purposes and is not linked to the user.

3. User Accounts

Shift4You does not use any user account system. No email, password or personal information is collected. No sign-up or login is required.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Google AdMob

Google AdMob is used for ad serving. Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy

4.2 Nager.Date API

Public holiday data is fetched from the Nager.Date API. Only the country code is sent to this API; no personal data is shared.

4.3 Apple iCloud / CloudKit

Apple CloudKit is used for optional data synchronization. This service is subject to Apple’s privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy

5. App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

On iOS 14.5 and later, App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission is requested for personalized ads. If you decline tracking, ads will still be shown but will not be personalized.

For European Economic Area (EEA) users, a GDPR-compliant consent form is displayed via Google UMP (User Messaging Platform).

Under Article 11 of KVKK, you have the following rights:

  • Learning whether your personal data is being processed
  • Requesting information if it has been processed
  • Learning the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly
  • Requesting correction if processed incompletely or inaccurately
  • Requesting deletion / destruction under Article 7 of KVKK
  • Objecting to any adverse result arising from exclusively automated analysis

7. GDPR Compliance

For users in the European Union / European Economic Area:

  • Legitimate interest: Providing the core functionality of the App
  • Consent: Ad tracking and personalization (obtained via ATT and UMP)

8. Data Security

All shift data is stored locally on your device or in your own iCloud account. No server-based storage is used by the Developer. Apple’s device encryption mechanisms protect your data.

9. Children’s Privacy

Shift4You is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and become aware that your child has provided data, please contact us.

10. Policy Changes

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be published on this page. Your continued use of the App means you accept the updated policy.
